For this student short film directed by Pierre-Louis Defoug, it is a question here of dealing mainly with the themes of loneliness, sentimental mourning, memory, depression but also youth, thus being able to give hope to the story.

The main character, Arthur (Arthur Adam), a young university student, appears as a hypersensitive and uncomfortable being, deeply attached to his past relationship with Louise (Louise Desrumeaux). A victim of love and a broken heart, he struggles to restore balance to his life despite the comfort of his friends.

A somewhat simplistic narrative, but nicely staged with the choice of a soundtrack focused mainly on piano. A coincidence ? Of course not, the character is himself a pianist. The form mingles with the content. The piano is all the symbolism of this fallen love story.

The director wanted to touch us deeply with this minimalist sound and visual representation of everyone's story. The message is therefore universal.

A deep feeling of sadness and nostalgia invades us. "Guérir" (the French title) is the quest of anyone who wants to overcome their sentimental inner pain.

Let time and fate act to fight suffering, so to speak.

Ghost is a short dramatic and romantic work that leaves you thinking...
